Description

This bowl has an earthy, raw, rough texture reminiscent of sea-beaten rocks. It is handcrafted with skill, using black clay with rich chamotte. With the technique of pinching, we have created on its surface, elevations and grooves that facilitate the lava glaze to stand out. Internally, it has been covered with a stone white glaze which, due to its special application with a brush and sponge, creates white spots and rust-colored brown spots. It can stand majestically both in your dining room and on your kitchen, counter filled with lemons from your garden. We love the variations of each handmade item, we hope you do too.

Variations and irregularities may occur in size, shape, color & glaze, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind.

All our ceramics are made using non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are oven and dishwasher safe, however we do recommend taking care as they are handmade of limited quantity. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example from the oven to a cold benchtop) as this is likely to cause thermal shock which can result in the piece cracking.

 

NOTE: To prevent glaze scratches we recommend storing your ceramics in plate racks or with a soft cloth between each piece. To keep your pieces beautiful, avoid contact with staining foods or liquids on unglazed surfaces.
